New York Courts, Forms & Information for Lawyers
Different versions of Domestic Relations Law §§ 236, 237, 238 and 240 apply in matrimonial actions depending upon the date of the commencement of the action.  To assist attorneys who may not know the versions which apply to their matrimonial action we have created a table that lists the effective dates of the different versions enacted since 1979 and a link to those versions.
